Dr. Chike's Background
A Foundation of Excellence
Dr. Chike earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the prestigious Meharry Medical College. He then went on to complete a highly competitive, three-year residency in orthodontics at Case Western Reserve University, where he also earned a Master of Science in Dentistry. This intensive specialty training focused on the complex science of tooth movement, facial growth, and bite function.
A Board-Certified Specialist
Dr. Chike has achieved the distinguished status of being a board-certified orthodontist. This is a voluntary and rigorous process that only about one-third of orthodontists complete. It signifies a deep commitment to the specialty and a mastery of the knowledge and skills required to provide the highest level of patient care.
Professional Athlete
Before he was Dr. Chike, he was a professional athlete, competing on soccer fields across the globe in Portugal, Egypt, and Ireland. That experience taught him the power of a detailed game plan, the importance of precision, and the mental toughness required to achieve a big goal. Today, he applies that same champion’s mindset to his work as one of Maryland’s most innovative and caring orthodontists.
